PCRaster supportPCRaster is a proprietary and free (as in gratis) available raster-GIS mostly dedicated to dynamic (spatio-temporal) modelling of environmental processes. PCRaster was originally developed at the department of Geography at Utrecht University, much of the development is now done by Cees Wesseling at PCRaster Environmental Software. Gstat supports reading and writing of PCRaster grid files. Maps are written as REAL4 (four byte-real) maps, only maps resulting from indicator simulation are written as UINT1 (one-byte unsigned integer) maps. "Support" means that input raster maps (masks) in gstat command files are PCRaster maps, then gstat will write result maps also as PCRaster maps. Note that also point data may be in the form of PCRaster maps. Last modified: February 04, 2004 Page contents by Edzer J. Pebesma, page layout by Kor de Jong. Send comments. |
